Mea Johnson, Movement Building Director, leads organizing on the ground in Eastern Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and brings her expertise in solidarity economy work. Before joining Community Action Works, she led sustainable development work in Roxbury, organized restaurant workers across the country to fight for fair wages, worked to increase civic engagement in Dorchester, and directed a children’s art program in Boston. Mea studied interdisciplinary art therapy at Lesley University, and she serves as Vice-President of the Native American Indian Center of Boston (NAICOB).
