Mary Cordero is the Eastern Massachusetts & Rhode Island Community Organizer. Before joining Community Action Works, Mary organized communities across Colorado with Green Corps, where she worked to advance state environmental justice legislation and enact locally-led land protection policies. Mary’s efforts rest upon her dreams of a restructured society filled with community care. Mary earned a bachelor’s of science in Conservation and Resource Studies from UC Berkeley. While in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mary built community through voter registration projects, mentorship and tutoring, and the Students of Color Environmental Collective. When she is not working you can find her journaling on the floor, playing soccer, or rewatching her favorite romantic comedies.
