At Community Action Works, we believe that environmental threats are big, but the power of well-organized community groups is bigger. Since 1987, Community Action Works has worked with more than 1,000 communities and trained more than 20,000 individuals to confront polluters and seed solutions across the Northeast.

We strive to give interns a broad overview of the environmental movement and issues in the Northeast, basic community action skills and the operational needs for running a non-profit.
