Zero Waste Advisory Committee Meeting

December 17, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm UTC+0

Over the past year, a coalition of environmental, labor and community groups has been working with the city on a plan to get Boston to Zero Waste. Now, as the city gets ready to finalize the plan, we need to make sure it’s as good as possible.

Join us on Monday, December 17 for the last open meeting of the Zero Waste Advisory Committee at Boston City Hall in the Piemonte Room, 5th Floor. RSVP on Facebook.

It’s possible to have a healthy waste system that is good for our communities and good for our climate. We envision a waste system that goes beyond recycling and composting to center equity, economic opportunity and environmental justice citywide. We need to make sure this plan puts us on track to make that vision a reality.

The solutions to our waste problems start local. What we’re doing in Boston could be a model for cities across the country, so we need to make sure we get it right.
