Film Screening: The Devil We Know

April 11, 2019 @ 1:00 am - 4:00 am UTC+0

Toxic chemicals from everyday products are tainting our drinking water. This class of substances, called PFAS, was developed to make non-stick coatings, cosmetics, take-out containers, and more. Today, PFAS have been found across the country, including Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

One town in West Virginia took on a powerful producer of these poisons. Its story has now been made into the documentary “The Devil We Know.” Join us for a free screening of this gripping film to learn how a group of ordinary people held one of the country’s biggest corporations accountable for its toxic pollution.

Stay after the film for a discussion about how CLF and our partners are fighting to protect Maine and all of New England from these dangerous PFAS chemicals here at home.

RSVP here.
