Our 2019 Annual Report is Here

2019 feels like forever ago.

Looking back, we’ll probably think of this as “before”: before COVID-19, before social distancing, before our work started happening entirely over video call.

Hopefully we’ll also think of it as the time before we made historic change to end the climate crisis, stop police violence, and win clean air and clean water for all.

But today, we’re looking back on 2019 proudly. You helped us make real change for our health, environment and climate across the Northeast.

Check out all that you’ve accomplished in our 2019 Annual Report.

The stories in our 2019 Annual Report are stories of local leaders who are building that power and making real, lasting change at the local level and beyond.

They’re people like Juana “Jennie” Girona, who organized her community to win $2.5 million in repairs to a school in her neighborhood in Springfield, MA that was infected with mold from climate-induced flooding. Or Ed Spencer from Old Town, ME, taking action to stop his state from being the dumping ground of our region.

2020 has brought us a global change and a big challenge. As our team pivots to support community groups whose work suddenly looks very different, we’re reflecting on how the way we carry out our work has changed, but the core of what we do remains the same.

Our work has always been about working side by side with everyday people to confront those who are polluting and harming the health of our communities. It might look different now, but it doesn’t stop.

These leaders are the people who you support every day and we’re so excited to share their stories with you.
