Check out our 2017 Annual Report!
Your support and activism has fueled a movement. See all that you’ve accomplished in our 2017 Annual Report!
Clean Water. Your support brought together communities affected by toxic drinking water contamination to make change. PFAS, or per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances, have been found in the drinking water of over 15 million U.S. residents, and we’re working with communities across the country to address this toxic crisis.
Clean Energy. You grew the movement for clean, local, renewable energy across our region. We trained activists to defeat dirty energy proposals and advocate for healthy climate solutions instead. In Massachusetts alone, the Mass Power Forward coalition we helped found grew to more than 200 organizations and built power to push progress on clean energy statewide.
Zero Waste. This year, you supported communities rejecting dangerous landfill expansions, closing a leaking landfill in Southbridge, Massachusetts, and focusing on Zero Waste solutions. In Boston, our Zero Waste Boston coalition is working with the city to plan a healthy waste system that makes sense for our communities and our climate.
Healthy Communities. Your support meant big steps in a growing movement to end the use of toxic pesticides for good. We worked with the Portland Protectors in Maine to pass one of the nation’s strongest organic land use ordinances, banning pesticides citywide and adding their names to a growing list of pesticide-free communities.
Your support makes this possible. If you haven’t already, join or renew your membership today!
Thank you for believing in the power of grassroots organizing.
